

For our April drill weekend the Battalion traveled to Gettysburg National Historical Park. We spent the weekend with 2 National Park Service Rangers who took the Battalion around the Battlefield and taught them about the Battle and specific regiments that fought there and their stories. We had a wonderful banquet held in our honor, but the Gettysburg Foundation. A very memorable experience for all

During our September drill we had the honor of pinning the Battalion's newest Chief Petty Officer. CPO John Havens III has been a Sea Cadet since 2022. He was originally a member of the USS Gerald R Ford Division before that Unit was merged with our Battalion. CPO Havens will now assume the role of the Battalions Leading Chief Petty Officer. Bravo Zulu!






The Daughters of the American Revolution Outstanding Cadet Medal is awarded to a cadet who has distinguished themselves through outstanding leadership, honor, service, courage and patriotism. The Daughters of the American Revolution Outstanding Cadet Medal was awarded to PO1 John Havens.

The Veteran’s of Foreign Wars Sea Cadet Medal is awarded to a cadet who is a Petty Officer Third Class or above. This cadet must be in good academic standing, demonstrates community service, is of high moral character, demonstrates leadership as well as military bearing and is a member of the Battalions Color Guard team. The VFW Sea Cadet Medal was awarded to Chief Petty Officer Amanda Molloy.
